Steve Rodman (Dallas, Texas)

DSRCT Diagnosed 7/01 at age 45 - Passed Away 2/03

    Steve had three major surgeries and six rounds of chemotherapy.  In late 2002 , he took 400 mg of Gleevac  every day for four weeks.  He was put on Gleevac because his tumor tested C-kit positive.  Some GIST tumors, which also test C-kit positive, have been successfully treated with Gleevac.
